La Francophonie month 2014
In March, come and join us to celebrate the French-speaking world! During one month, the Consulate General of France in Boston and its numerous partners will join to promote the French language and its cultural diversity. With more than 50 events, from Africa to Quebec and through Haïti, Belgium, and Acadia, we invite you to travel, dance, taste, discover and share the wealth of the French-speaking culture.

- Francophone film series (France)
Date: Every Thursday during the month of March
Place: At Coolidge Corner, 290 Harvard St, Brookline, MA
In collaboration with the Délégation du Québec in Boston, the Consulat Général de Haiti in Boston, FLICKERS, and the Rhode Island International Film Festival.
The Consulate General of France in Boston presents the film "Comme un Lion " March 6, 7:00PM at Coolidge Corner.
Fifteen-year old Mitri loves nothing more than to play football and dreams of leaving his Senegalese village to follow in the footsteps of his idols, Barça and Chelsea. When a recruiting agent discovers his talents, Mitri believes his chance has finally arrived. Yet to be seen by the great European football clubs is an expensive ambition and his family’s contributions drag them into debt.

- « Mais oui ! » Francophonie party, 4th edition !
Date: March 19, 9:00PM - 2:00AM
Place: Royale, 279 Tremont Street, Boston, MA
In collaboration with the Consulat général du Canada, the Délégation du Québec in Boston, the French Cultural Center in Boston and Swissnex Boston.
The « Mais oui! » Francophonie party is back at club Royale in Boston. Francophones and francophiles can enjoy what promises to be a memorable night with DJ Asho & DJ Nico.

Always a convivial and enjoyable soirée. More than 600 young francophones & francophiles attended last year. $10 donation suggested at the door, benefiting French Heritage, an innovative language program addressing the needs of underserved new immigrants of a French-speaking background in the Boston area. - Grande fête de la francophonie des écoles
Date: Thursday March 27, 9:00AM - 1:00PM
Place: Holliston High School, 370 Hollis St, Holliston, MA
In collaboration with the Délégation du Québec in Boston and the Consulat du Canada.
American students ages 11 to 18 are welcome to join the Consulate General of France in Boston with their classes and teachers. A flash mob will be set up with dancers from the Boston Latin School. French snacks will be provided. A song contest will take place, various prizes to be distributed to the winners. As a memorable finale to this French morning, the band « Piaf & Brel » will make an appearance and perform famous French tunes.
