Tour de Champagne Back for Another Round


BOSTON (January 7, 2010) – For the third year, Tour de Champagne brings an evening filled with prestigious champagne houses, fine local dining and extras like entertainment and guest chefs to bubbly-loving Bostonians. Guests will enjoy sips from houses like Gosset, Veuve Clicquot, Paul Goerg and Louis Roederer along with cuisine from some of the city’s most talented chefs. During the evening, guests will also have a chance to peruse a silent auction benefitting the local non-profit organization The Greater Boston Food Bank, and VIP ticketholders will enjoy a Fin de Soirée featuring Peyrot Cognac, a crepe station, and a dessert bar from the Charles Hotel at the Regatta Bar following the main event.

Former White House Pastry Chef Roland Mesnier will once again join Tour de Champagne Boston to whip up a special recipe on the cooking demonstration stage. Chef Mesnier served as Executive Pastry Chef for the White House for 25 years and is the author of a variety of inspired dessert cookbooks.

WHAT: For more than four years, Tour de Champagne has popped into cities including Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Houston, New York City, San Francisco and Washington D.C. In each city, the event joins forces with top local restaurants and chefs to create an unmatched champagne tasting experience.

Restaurants participating in Tour de Champagne Boston this year include Asana, B&G Oysters, Henrietta’s Table, La Voile, Legal Sea Foods Charles Square, Lucca Back Bay, Master Chef Jean-Louis Dumonet, Rialto Restaurant + Bar, Sandrine’s, Brasserie Jo, and UpStairs on the Square. This organization distributes approximately 30 million pounds of food and grocery products annually to more than 600 member hunger-relief agencies in a dedicated partnership to end hunger in eastern Massachusetts.
