Contamination of water in the Greater Boston area

Nearly 2 million residents of the Greater Boston area lost their supply of clean drinking water when a huge underground pipe abruptly burst on Saturday May 1st around 10am.

Authorities declare a state of emergency and imposed a sweeping order to boil the untreated water for at least one minute before drinking it and using it to cook to avoid any risk of contamination.
