Around seventy countries, with sixty of them with a ministerial delegation, will meet in Paris between November 8th and 10th for an informal preparation of the COP21. On November 6th, Laurent Fabius, the French minister for Foreign Affairs, has started the communication campaign for this event, supposed to be one of the most important one while President Hollande is in office, and he presented the aims of this anticipated meeting.

The four main subjects that will be discussed during this "pre-COP21" are the scope of the agreement, its equity, the concrete actions to lead before 2020 and the financing of ecological priorities after 2020. This "general rehearsal" in the words of Laurent Fabius, aims at preparing a compromise on unclear points in seeking an universal, challenging and legally binding agreement in december. This last informal meeting before the opening of the great ecological event is therefore a key step to agreeing on several remaining options.
